The CBI measures exhaustion, not an illness. A high score can also come from poor sleep, illness, depression or a demanding period in life. Only a health professional can assess what lies behind it.
What you can do next
If exhaustion has lasted for weeks, affects your sleep, health or relationships, or makes it hard to get through the day, talk to your doctor. You are welcome to bring this result. Talking to your manager or occupational health service about workload can also help. If you need to talk to someone now, contact a local helpline, and in an emergency call your local emergency number.
